On the occasion of the upcoming International Earth Day 2025, the Faculty of Energy and Environmental Engineering of the Silesian University of Technology invites you to the Earth Day Trailer 2025 - a unique event that will take place on April 8th.

The Earth Day 2025 Trailer combines ecology, science and modern technologies! This year’s celebration will be combined with the Faculty’s Open Days, which gives a unique opportunity to learn about the latest solutions in the field of environmental protection and the prospects of studying at our faculty.

The event is addressed to secondary school pupils, students, teachers, ecology enthusiasts and all those who want to broaden their knowledge about environmental protection and innovative technologies supporting sustainable development. Participation in the event is free of charge.

Earth Day is a unique celebration that reminds us of the need to take care of our planet and take action for sustainable development. Although the official celebration of this day falls on April 22nd, the Faculty of Energy and Environmental Engineering wants to celebrate this date sooner.

Why? Because the future of the Earth depends on quick action! We cannot wait for symbolic dates – we must act now, create innovative solutions, and implement technologies that will protect our environment for future generations. The Earth Day 2025 Trailer is a reminder that every day is a good day to work for our planet. The organizers want to show that science and innovation are the foundations on which we build a better future.

During the event, you will be able to take part in numerous attractions that will allow you to better understand the challenges of modern ecology and the role of environmental engineering in solving them. These will be:
- scientific presentations - we will check how water purification systems work, what technologies allow to monitor air quality, how to deal with soil pollution, or how to deal with waste,
- lectures with scientists – you will learn more about climate change, renewable energy sources, innovative methods of environmental protection, as well as the basics of microbiology,
- laboratory workshops – you will see up-to-date research laboratories, get to know the devices and technologies used in them, and also take part in interactive practical classes,
- open days format - during the event you will meet with students and lecturers, from whom you will learn all information about the fields of study and student life.
