It is with great regret that we announce that on February 16, 2025, the late Dr. Eng Eugeniusz Bliźnicki died at the age of 81.

The outstanding Scholar distinguished Academic Teacher, Man of great knowledge, vast experience, Educator of many generations of students and PhD students, Employee of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Silesian University of Technology from 1969 to 1994 has passed away.

As part of his scientific activity, as a long-time employee of the Department of Machine Technology, he dealt with issues in the field of electrohydraulic and hydraulic drives. He was a co-author of several scientific scripts. He showed a high commitment and dedication in the implementation of didactic works and maintenance of laboratory stands in full efficiency.

For his didactic, scientific, and organizational achievements, he was awarded with numerous decorations and medals.

He will remain forever in our memory!

The Holy Mass will be celebrated on 19 February 2025 at 11:00 in the Church of St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr in Czeladź.
The funeral will take place after the Holy Mass at the parish cemetery in Czeladź (main gate).
