Dr Eng. Anna Byczek-Wyrostek nominated for the POP Science 2024 award

Silesian University of Technology is competing for prizes in the POP Science 2024 competition of the Silesian Science Festival. In addition to the podcast “Let’s talk about science,” Dr Eng. Anna Byczek-Wyrostek, who was nominated in the category “think globally, act locally” for her activities within the university, also takes part in this competition.

Dr Eng. Anna Byczek-Wyrostek has been popularizing science for almost ten years, mainly through presentations and workshops covering knowledge in such fields as biology, chemistry or physics. In cooperation with the Student Science Club of Chemists at the Silesian University of Technology, of which she is the supervisor, she prepares classes for a wide range of recipients – from preschoolers to adults. The most famous events in which she participated include the Researchers' Night of the Silesian University of Technology, Industriada or the Silesian Science Festival KATOWICE. In addition, she is the coordinator of classes dedicated to children with adult carers “Junior and Senior Technical University,” in which he also takes an active part.

The POP Science 2024 awards will be presented during the Silesian Science Festival KATOWICE 2024 scheduled for 7, 8 and 9 December 2024 at the International Congress Centre in Katowice.
