Donate 1% to Ania

The time for submitting annual tax returns is coming. It is worth remembering about those in need and donating your 1%. It does not cost us anything and this is how we can help. 

Same as every year we ask you to donate to Ania Starosolska, the daughter of our employee - Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics. Ania is almost 12 years old and weighs 11 kilos. She is in a wheelchair, has poor vision and hearing. She is also fed with a tube straight into her stomach. Her nervous system is in a mess. Despite the struggle, she is a wonderful and joyful child.

Ania's treatment is very expensive. The money is needed for rehabilitation, medicines, equipment and care. Unfortunately, this year it turned out that Ania's dad also needs help. Andrzej has intestinal cancer spreading to his liver.

The Volunteer Centre at the Silesian University of Technology is also involved in helping Ania and her parents. They are looking for volunteers to take care of Ania.  A #nieZWYKŁAwolontariuszka is a person who would help parents in their daily care.
