Diocesan Inauguration of the Academic Year 2026/2027

The Bishop of Gliwice Dr Sławomir Oder and the Pastoral Care of the Academic Community of the Diocese of Gliwice invite to the diocesan inauguration of the academic year 2026/2027.

The ceremony will take place on Friday, October 2nd, 2026, in the Cathedral of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Gliwice at 5, John Paul II street in Gliwice. At 16.00 a solemn Holy Mass will be held, inaugurating the new academic year.

The invitation is addressed in a special way to scientific, research and teaching staff as well as academic teachers and academic staff.

After the Holy Mass, representatives of the scientific community will be able to take part in a meeting with the Bishop and representatives of the world of science of the Diocese of Gliwice at the St. John Paul II Education Centre.
