"Create a green future with CEMEX" thesis competition

CEMEX Poland has announced a competition for the best thesis on innovative "green" technological and product solutions for the cement, concrete and aggregate industry. The competition is open to bachelor's, master's and postgraduate theses defended by graduates of the 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 academic years.

The main objective of the competition is support and promotion, by CEMEX Poland together with the academic environment, the transformation of our country's economy towards a low-carbon economy, with particular emphasis on the construction industry. The organiser of the competition is looking for the best theses on the following topics:

• Sustainability and low carbon economy,
• CO2 reduction measures in the 5C value chain (5 points: clinker, cement, concrete, construction & built environment, (re)carbonisation),
• Green and innovative material solutions that reduce the use of natural resources (alternative or recycled raw materials),
• Closed loop economy: management of waste raw materials, return of materials to circulation,
• Optimisation and improvement of the efficiency of production processes and products.
