Conference “The future of post-mining areas”
We invite you to participate in the conference “The future of post-mining areas,” which will take place on the 17th of June 2025 in the building of the Faculty of Mining, Safety Engineering, and Industrial Automation of the Silesian University of Technology, at Akademicka Street in Gliwice.
The conference program includes presentations on processes of liquidation of mining plants, threats resulting from historical exploitation of minerals, environmental studies in post-mining areas, monitoring the effects of mining activities, rehabilitation of degraded areas or revitalization of land and post-industrial facilities.
The conference is organized by the Higher Mining Office in cooperation with the Faculty of Mining, Safety Engineering and Industrial Automation of the Silesian University of Technology and the National Geological Institute – National Research Institute. Participation in the event is free.
The organizers invite representatives of public administration, including local government units, scientific institutions and all interested in the subject of development and revitalization of post-mining areas to participate.
