Competition for the award of the President of the Management Board of the Warsaw Stock Exchange
Warsaw Stock Exchange Foundation is pleased to invite students and graduates of the Silesian University of Technology to participate in the competition for the best diploma thesis for the award of the President of the Management Board of the Warsaw Stock Exchange This competition is dedicated to bachelor, master and doctoral theses, the subject of which includes issues related to the capital market.
We encourage the authors of the works to submit diploma thesis on the application of new technologies in the operation of the capital market. The works may concern, for example, innovative technological solutions such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, big data, and their impact on improving the efficiency and security of capital markets. The works may also explore how new technologies can increase market access for individual and institutional investors, as well as the impact of technology on capital market regulation and supervision.
The patronage over the competition is held by financial institutions: The Warsaw Stock Exchange, PFR Portal PPK Sp. Z o.o., the Chamber of Fund and Asset Management and TFI PZU S.A.
The prizes to be awarded to the winners are as follows:
- for the best bachelor's thesis: 3,000 PLN
- for the best master's thesis: 6,000 PLN
- for the best doctoral thesis: 8.000 PLN
There are also special awards:
- in the amount of 3,000 PLN for a bachelor’s or master’s thesis on a long-term saving and investing through Employee Capital Plans (PFR Portal PPK).
- in the amount of 3,000 PLN for a master’s thesis on investment funds (The Chamber of Fund and Asset Management).
- In the amount of 5,000 PLN for a master’s thesis on investment funds (TFI PZU S.A.).
The authors of bachelor and master’s theses who obtained a professional title in the period from 1 January 2023 to 30 September 2024, and authors of doctoral theses who obtained a doctoral degree in the period from 1 January 2022 to 30 September 2024, are eligible to participate in the competition.
Works should be submitted by 31 October 2024, sending an electronic version of the work, and the required documents by post.
