CLIMATHON GZM – take part in the competition!

GREENERY In THE CITY is this year’s theme of the CLIMATHON GZM competition, which is being organized for the fifth time by the Upper Silesian-Zagłębie Metropolis. Students from all over Poland can participate in this round-the-clock competition. The event will take place on-site on 13th -14th November 2024, at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. Registration began on October 16th and will last until November 5.

CLIMATHON is an event organized under the license of EIT CLIMATE-KIC, taking place in various cities around the world. This is a 24-hour creativity race, during which participants will look for solutions that will help protect the climate. During the metropolitan event, participants will look for solutions on how, in the interests of climate protection, we can take care of greenery in the city.
Since last year, the metropolis has focused on cooperation with universities and students. This is an opportunity to activate the academic community, especially young people, in the fight against climate change by engaging them in important areas of life related to broadly understood ecology. There are attractive financial prizes for the winners.
