The Ministry of Climate and Environment invites you to take part in the "Climate Person of the Year" competition. The competition is addressed to three categories of recipients: teachers, young scientists and social activists who work for the climate and environment in an unconventional and innovative way and have achievements in this field.

Competition applications can be submitted until September 8th, 2024. to the e-mail address: klimatyczny.czlowiek.roku@klimat.gov.pl.

The winners will receive the title of "Climate Person of the Year" and cash prizes of PLN 30,000 each (one winner in one category). In the event of an exceptionally high level of the competition, a maximum of six distinctions will be awarded (two for each category), each with a prize of PLN 10,000.

The competition is aimed at:

- teachers who, as part of their classes and/or additional activities, educate in an original way about climate and the environment and actively work to increase ecological awareness,
- young scientists - adults up to 35 years of age who have scientific achievements in the form of scientific publications or completed scientific research in the area of climate and environment and popularize science about the natural environment and climate and their protection,
- social activists - adults who are involved in pro-social or educational unconventional and innovative activities for the climate and environment.
