Call for proposals for the 8th PBL competition is launched

The call for applications for the 8th funding competition for Project-Based Learning (PBL), under the Excellence Initiative - Research University programme, is now open. Proposals can be submitted until 31 August.

Projects will be implemented in the winter semester 2022/2023.

The competition is organised as part of the project “Involving students in research through scientific associations and project-based learning”, in accordance with the Silesian University of Technology's participation in the Excellence Initiative - Research University programme.

Applications should be sent electronically to the Student Service Centre email box - rd1@polsl.pl. Proposals can be submitted until 31 August 2022.

Further processing of applications will be carried out via the Distance Learning Platform, where a corresponding category of resources has been set aside to support the competition. Projects will be implemented in the winter semester of the academic year 2022/2023.

PBL projects should be interdisciplinary in nature and each project group should include students representing at least two fields of study, degree paths or specialisations. The project may additionally involve students from Academic High Schools for which the Silesian University of Technology is the leading authority, along with students from schools that have concluded a cooperation agreement with the Silesian University of Technology.

Projects involving foreign universities, implemented based on a bilateral agreement, will be particularly promoted. The International Relations Office will support interested applicants in their search for an international partnership under the agreements concluded, regarding the participation of the Silesian University of Technology in the European University Initiative programme.
