The competition for the award of the Minister of Development and Technology for the best diploma theses, doctoral dissertations, and publications in the fields of architecture and construction, planning and spatial development and housing has been decided. In the category of publications, Prof. Dr Hab.Eng. Radosław Jasiński, Prof. SUT has won the award.
Prof. Radosław Jasiński is an employee of the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Silesian University of Technology. He received the award for his two-volume work:
• “Masonry stiffening walls. Volume I. Influences. Methods, algorithms, and examples of calculations.” and
• “Masonry stiffening walls. Volume II. Carrying capacity. Methods, algorithms, and examples of calculations.”
The publication was prepared in cooperation with Prof. Dr Hab. Eng. Łukasz Drobiec who served as the scientific editor of the publication. Both volumes constitute a compendium of knowledge that is of significant importance both in the theory and practice of construction, especially in the context of the design and evaluation of masonry structures.
The Award of the Minister of Development and Technology is one of the most important distinctions in the Polish scientific community, especially in the fields of construction engineering, architecture, and spatial development.
Award granted to Prof. Jasiński not only emphasizes his personal contribution to the development of science, but also represents an important recognition for the Silesian University of Technology, whose representative has won this prestigious award.
