Artur Tomasik – the President of the Upper Silesian Aviation Group (GTL SA) and the Chairman of the University Council – awarded
Artur Tomasik, the President of the Upper Silesian Aviation Group (GTL SA), received the "Poland Promoter" statuette. The Polish Promotional Emblem Foundation "Teraz Polska" (transl. Poland Now) awarded it to him.
Since 2007, Artur Tomasik has been the President of the management board of the Upper Silesian Aviation Group (GTL SA), the company managing Katowice Airport. Since 2019, he is also the Chairman of the Program Council of the Silesian University of Technology and a member of the Civil Aviation Personnel Education Centre at the Silesian University of Technology. He has been the President of the Board of the Regional Airports Association since 2011.
Under the management of Artur Tomasik, the Upper Silesian Aviation Group (GTL SA) is carrying out a long-term programme of expansion of Katowice Airport infrastructure. Between 2007 and 2021, the company has successfully carried out over 40 investments with an total value of more than a billion PLN. Katowice Airport is a national leader in the segment of charter and regional air cargo transport.
President Tomasik is committed to creating synergies between aviation and science. He is one of the initiators of establishing the Civil Aviation Personnel Education Centre at the Silesian University of Technology. For years he has been the Chairman of the University Council.
