Announcement of the 8^th competition for financing the projects of student research clubs

The Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Education Prof. Anna Chrobok announces the 8^th competition for the implementation of student research projects. The competition is organized as part of the project “Inclusion of students in scientific research through science research clubs and project-oriented teaching, in connection with the participation of the Silesian University of Technology in the Excellence Initiative – Research University program” (contract No. 08/IDUB/2019/84 of 16^th December 2019).

Applying for projects, their financing and settlement is carried out according to the rules set out in the “Rules of financing student projects of science clubs, as part of the Excellence Initiative – Research University Program”, contained in the Ordinance No. 54/2020 of the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology of 13^th  March 2020 (as amended) According to § 3 of the above-mentioned Ordinance, the settlement of projects implemented under the PBL SKN program should take place at the latest by the end of the settlement period falling for the winter semester of the academic year 2026/2027. This deadline includes both the completion of the project activities and the fulfilment of all reporting and accounting obligations arising from the Program rules.

Within the framework of the competition, one Student Science Club may submit a maximum of 5 applications.

Applications for co-financing of the project carried out within the student science club, drawn up on the basis of Annex 1 of the Ordinance, should be sent by e-mail to the e-mail address:  COS-PBL.IDUB@polsl.pl, by 26^th of June 2026.

The further procedure for handling applications will be carried out through the Studies Service Centre.
