An invitation to attend the Summer School in Riga

A call for applications for early-stage students and researchers to summer school on structural condition monitoring is launched. The co-organizer of the school is Silesian University of Technology.

Silesian University of Technology and Riga Technical University, Università Politecnica delle Marche and the University of Bergamo have launched an intensive Erasmus+ blended program in the field of structural state monitoring of SHM.

The program will be implemented in a comprehensive manner, ensuring the delivery of theoretical knowledge and the development of practical skills within the summer school. In addition, participants will have a unique opportunity to participate in lectures and workshops within the IMST 2025 Conference – International Conference on Innovative Materials, Structures, and Technologies.
The following can apply to participate in the program:

- Graduates, students and PhD students in civil engineering, mechanical and construction engineering, and architecture;
- beginning researchers and specialists in the infrastructure, construction, and maintenance sectors;
- practitioners interested in the application of SHM technology in their projects.

The program combines online classes with a week-long practical training in Riga, Latvia. Online training will take place from June 30 to July 4, 2025, while summer school – practical classes and field visits as well as participation in IMST 2025 are planned for the period from September 8 – 12, 2025 in Riga.

Classes will be held fully in English.

The application deadline is 10 March 2025.
