Silesian University of Technology Among Poland’s Top Academic Institutions in Perspektywy 2026 Ranking

In the latest edition of the Perspektywy 2026 Academic University Ranking, the Silesian University of Technology secured 8th place among Poland’s leading academic institutions, climbing two positions compared with last year.

The results of the Perspektywy 2026 Higher Education Ranking were announced on 23 June 2026. In the national ranking of academic universities, the Silesian University of Technology was placed among the top ten institutions in Poland, achieving its highest position in recent years.

The University also performed very well in the Subjects Ranking. Of the 22 programmes evaluated at the SUT, as many as 12 were ranked among the top three in their respective disciplines nationwide.

The following programmes were ranked second in Poland: Automation and Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, and Mining and Geology. Third place was awarded to Architecture, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Transport.

Among the programmes assessed this year, nine maintained their positions from the previous edition of the ranking, eight improved their standing, and four moved down in the table. Geodesy and Cartography was included in the ranking for the first time, making its debut in 6th place.
