9th edition of the National Scientific and Technical Conference: Rail transport 2026

We invite students and PhD students to participate in the 9th  edition of the National Scientific and Technical Conference: ‘Rail transport 2026: Past – present – future”, organized by the President of the Office of Rail Transport, which will take place on the 21st of  May 2026 in Warsaw.

This year’s conference will be a hybrid one – the speakers will participate in the conference in-house at UTK, and the listeners will participate remotely via video conferencing.

- Polish railways are facing a technological breakthrough that will change their reality. Digital transformation opens up opportunities that we could only dream of a few years ago. However, this transformation is not possible without properly educated people – engineers, scientists, or specialists in the field of cybersecurity. Today they are only learning, and tomorrow they will build intelligent, reliable railway networks that are safe for passengers. The Polish railways must be ready for the threats of the future – both technical ones and those related to the security of critical infrastructure. That is why we invite you – young scientists and engineers – to the group of leaders who will shape the future of rail transport. We invite you to jointly create the railways of the future – safe, digital, and ready for the challenges of the future - Dr Eng. Ignacy Góra, President of the Office of Rail Transport encourages to participate in the event.

Works selected by the Scientific Committee will be presented during the conference in the form of a lecture or poster. The Scientific Committee will select the best works on the basis of the submitted abstracts. Papers that are not qualified for the plenary session may be presented in the form of a poster during the poster session.

By March 9th, the application form should be sent along with the abstract of the proposed work. In the case of works with several authors, it is necessary to fill in the application form together with consent to the processing of personal data by each author. In this case, the same abstract should be attached to each application. Please also send the completed form to people who want to participate in the conference as a listener.

Details about the organization of the conference, regulations and application form can be downloaded from the website utk.gov.pl/konferencja.
