5th edition of the programme enabling employment of outstanding scientists from Poland and abroad
The fifth edition of the programme for employing outstanding prominent and outstanding young scientists at the University was launched. Within the implementation of the programme Excellence Initiative - Research University (IDUB), the SUT continues to work on strengthening the scientific staff by employing outstanding prominent and outstanding young researchers, in particular from abroad, who would be able to form and lead scientific teams, apply for funding for national and international projects and publish in reputable journals within a year.
Updated competition announcements in the fifth edition of the programme, in Polish and English, were published on the website of the University, as well as on the website of the Ministry of Education and Science and EURAXESS.
Detailed information about the requirements and conditions of employment can be found in the links below:

To disseminate the attached announcements, we once again encourage the employees of the Silesian University of Technology to make them available among the researchers they know who meet the criteria set out in the announcements. These requirements are demanding, but the opportunities offered by the University are significant and competitive in relation to leading foreign universities.
Potential candidates should primarily consider the package of pro-quality programmes of the SUT, which they will be able to benefit from, especially when they demonstrate achievements comparable to those required by the competition criteria during their work at the University. In attracting outstanding scientists from abroad, the possibility to provide part of the work from the place of their permanent residence may also be important. As a result of previous competitions, 9 scientists took up employment at the Silesian University of Technology, including 3 as the University Professors and 6 as Assistant Professors.
