5G network laboratory at the Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronics and Computer Science

On November 6th, 2023, the 5G Network Laboratory, funded by Nokia, will be opened at the Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronics and Computer Science The celebration will be accompanied by Nokia Day at the Silesian University of Technology.

The laboratory will expand the university's teaching offer. New subjects related to the 5G network are now offered in the fields of Electronics and Telecommunications, Teleinformatics and Computer Science. In the field of Electronics and Telecommunications, second-cycle studies have launched, under the patronage of Nokia, a new specialization called "Wireless Devices and Systems", in which students will be able to gain experience in the operation and design of 4G and 5G networks and learn about their possibilities and limitations. This will make it easier for them to meet the demands of today's labour market. 

The 5G network laboratory was established at the Department of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Microelectronics of the Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronics and Computer Science. The opening ceremony with the participation of the university authorities and Nokia will take place on November 6th, 2023.
