20 technical universities signed the agreement
On June the 6th at the AGH Stanisław Staszic University of Science and Technology in Krakow, during the meeting of the College of Vice-Rectors for Science and Development of public technical universities, an agreement was signed on cooperation of Polish technical universities in the field of project management - Technical Universities Project Management Offices Forum [TUPMO Forum]).
The agreement was signed by 20 technical universities. The partners of the agreement declare their willingness to cooperate in the field of project management.
The main tasks included in the agreement include:
- mutual cooperation in acquiring projects;
- exchange of information and experience on ongoing and planned projects;
- presenting a common position on consultations on competitions and programs financing/co-financing projects for Polish technical universities;
- elaboration and development of common strategies for obtaining and accounting for external funds;
- improving the qualifications of employees of the Partners of the Agreement in the area of project management, e.g. through joint training, workshops;
- exchange of knowledge, e.g. through conferences, meetings, workshops;
- exchange of experience regarding the acquisition, implementation and settlement of projects;
- exchange of information and solving current issues related to the project activities of the Partners of the Agreement;
During the first meeting of TUPMO Forum representatives in Krakow, the first chairman of the Steering Committee was elected and it was Mr. Waldemar Dzienisz from the Gdańsk University of Technology. On behalf of the Silesian University of Technology, the agreement was signed by prof. Marek Pawełczyk, and Dr Eng. Marcin Górski, professor of the Silesian University of Technology, director The Project Management Centre will represent the University in this organization.
