Funding for the project of Prof. Dawid Janas in the SONATA BIS 15 competition

In the 15th edition of the SONATA BIS competition, funding of PLN 3,604,400 was awarded to the TRIDENT project "Production, Research, and Application of TRIons in Chirally Defined Carbon Nanostructures," led by Prof. Dawid Janas, PhD, DSc, Eng., from the Faculty of Chemistry.

The project proposes solutions to current scientific problems in photonics, which is one of the most promising areas of research, in part due to the unique properties of nanomaterials, which are extensively exploited in this field. It is expected that in the near future, light-based technologies will drive the development of numerous technologies of strategic importance to society and industry. The interactions of materials with light are still not fully understood, which hinders progress in this important field and also poses a challenge for new research projects, such as Professor Janas's project.
