Brief description |
The exhibition by lecturers from the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław is a presentation of works created at the intersection of art, science, and technology. The collected works cover the fields of design, interior architecture, virtual reality, ceramics, and glass – diverse, yet connected by a common question about the role of contemporary design in a world of constant change.
The essence of the exhibition is hybridity – understood as the meeting of man, matter, and algorithm. This is no longer a marginal aspect of creativity, but the center where artists and designers seek new forms of expression and new meanings. The presented works show how art can become a space for innovation, how it enters into dialogue with science and technology, while retaining its humanistic sensitivity.
The viewer is invited to experience everything from intimate, hand-shaped ceramic objects, through glass light experiments, to immersive VR worlds. Alongside them are examples of design and interior architecture in which ecology, responsible use of materials, and care for the everyday human environment are key. This combination of tradition and modernity allows the exhibition to open up a space for dialogue—between the sensuality of matter and the abstract precision of the algorithm.
“Hybrid” is not only a review of the achievements of the Academy of Fine Arts lecturers, but also a manifesto of the openness of the academic community. It is a proposal to look at art and design not as separate fields, but as a common space for researching and shaping the future. The exhibition encourages reflection: how technology changes our experience of beauty, how new media transform our everyday lives, and how tradition—thanks to its encounter with innovation—gains new life. This exhibition is an invitation to conversation and experience—about what happens when people, matter, and algorithms begin to create together. |
