Join the International Microelectronics Olympiad!

International Microelectronics Olympiad

A fantastic opportunity to engage in a global challenge and fun contest!

The Olympiad aims to stimulate the further development of microelectronics, recognize and inspire young, talented engineers, and increase interest in microelectronics among young specialists. It also seeks to assess the level of knowledge in microelectronics among young specialists in participating countries to make necessary adjustments to educational programs and expand the community of young specialists involved in microelectronics.

Olympiad Topics:

  1. Digital IC Design and Testing
  2. Analog and Mixed-Signal IC Design and Testing
  3. Semiconductor Devices and Technology
  4. Mathematical and Algorithmic Issues of EDA

Olympiad Structure:

The Olympiad consists of two stages:

First Stage:

  1. Conducted by participating universities before July 31, 2025.
  2. Open to university students under the age of 30 with specializations in microelectronics.
  3. Held in all participating universities, where students will solve a series of tests.
  4. The first stage can be conducted at one or several locations within each country.
  5. One winner per country will be selected based on the highest score among all participants.
  6. In the event of a tie, an additional test will be administered to determine the winner.

Final Stage:

  1. Held in Yerevan, Armenia, in October 2025.
  2. Winners from each country will be shortlisted to compete in the final stage.
  3. Participants will tackle more complex problems to identify the top contestants among all participating countries.

Registration:

To participate in the contest, a registration (before 25-th June) is required.
