Students filled the aul at a meeting with Alstom

On January 21, 2025, the Faculty of Transport and Aviation Engineering of the Silesian University of Technology held a meeting "Alstom's innovative solutions in the world of transport and smart cities".

The event met with great interest among students who filled the auditorium to expand their knowledge of modern technologies in transport and the possibilities of cooperation with Alstom.

During the meeting, the speakers presented the following topics:

- Marcin Dereń, Alstom Polska branch in Katowice - "Let's get to know each other better, we have common competences",

- Piotr Mitrenga - "Solutions for urban transport",

- Alina Grabowy - "HR issues and opportunities for cooperation with Alstom".

In the new semester, Alstom is planning another workshop for students, which will focus on professional competences and issues related to HR. Details on dates and topics will be announced soon.

The event was held as part of the Priority Research Area 4: Smart Cities and Future Mobility. The initiator and organizer of the meeting was Dr. hab. inż. Katarzyna Turoń, prof. World Cup.
