On December 4, 2024, in the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw, the Scientific Prizes of the IV Division of the Polish Academy of Sciences in the field of technical sciences were awarded. Among this year's six laureates was Agnieszka Jędrzejewska, PhD, from the Department of Structural Engineering of the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Silesian University of Technology, who was awarded for a series of works under the common title "Scratching of special structures under the action of forced deformation". Scientific Prizes of the IV Division of the Polish Academy of Sciences are annual individual awards for outstanding scientific works in the field of engineering and technical sciences. The winners can be scientists under 40 years of age. These awards, granted by the Polish Academy of Sciences - one of the most important scientific institutions in Poland, are an honor that testifies to the highest level of scientific achievement. Agnieszka Jędrzejewska, Ph.D., is one of the 6 winners of this year's edition of the award.
