POB6. Lecture: "Environmental awareness and ecology of technique in the context of decarbonization of the economy", 12.03.2024 at 1:00 pm

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

We would like to invite you to a lecture by Michał Krzykawski, DSc, Prof. at the University of Silesia, on "Environmental Awareness and Ecology of Technique in the Context of Decarbonization of the Economy". The event will be held as part of a series of meetings organized on the Priority Research Area "Climate and Environmental Protection Modern Energy" (POB6).

The lecture will be delivered on the 12th of March 2024 at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, in auditorium 615, at 2 B. Krzywoustego St. The meeting will start at 1:00 pm.

Michał Krzykawski - prof. at UoS, philosopher, researcher at the Faculty of Humanities of the Silesian University in Katowice. Heads the Center for Critical Research on Technologies at the FoH of UoS. Author and co-author of numerous works on contemporary French philosophy, philosophy of technology and social philosophy; a proponent of conducting transdisciplinary research. His recently published works are: Necessary Bifurcation. There is no alternative. (eds. Bernard Stiegler and the Kolektyw Internacja, Katowice 2023) and Economy and Entropy. How to get out of polycrisis. (eds. Jerzy Hausner and Michal Krzykawski, Warsaw 2023).
