On 16.02.2023 held the inaugural meeting (kick-off meeting) of the European grant under Horizon Europe - Maria Sklodowska Curie Action (MSCA). The grant, entitled Biomimicry and carbon adsorbent eco-materials for a climate-neutral economy, has the acronym CSTO2NE and will last until the end of 2026. Silesian University of Technology is one of the beneficiaries of the grant, coordinated by Prof. João Castro Gomes of the Universidade da Beira Interioz of Covilã (Portugal). The head of the grant is Prof. Leszek Szojda, D.Sc. from the Department of Civil Engineering, together with four collaborators from the same department (Prof. Barbara Klemczak, D.Sc.; Prof. Grzegorz Wandzik, D.Sc., Prof. of Silesian University of Technology; Dr. Małgorzata Pająk, D.Sc.; Dr. Małgorzata Safuta, D.Sc.). The meeting partly in a hybrid connection system with all members of the consortium was held in the multimedia room of the Faculty Council.
