On Monday, October 17, 2022, Digital and Integrated Systems Management for Europe paid a visit to the Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronics and Computer Science of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice.

Representatives of D&IS Europe management were Patrice Houdu and Vincent Prou. The Silesian University of Technology was also visited by Ignacio Rodriguez of the D&IS Digital Academy and representatives of the Katowice D&IS Site -  Adam Juretko, Alina Grabowy and Karol Skrobol. 

Alstom's guests visiting the faculties of the Silesian University of Technology were received by Dariusz Mrozek, D.Sc., Prof. of the Silesian University of Technology, Associate Professor, Deputy Dean for Cooperation and Development of the Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronics and Computer Science, Andrzej Kwiecień, D.Sc., Prof. Piotr Gaj, D.Sc., Jacek Stój, M.Sc. and Ireneusz Smołka, M.Sc. They had the opportunity to talk about cooperation and its development together with Alstom. The university presented its areas of activity, and there was also an opportunity to visit our laboratory after the re-branding.

Our Modern Technology Laboratory, which was established in 2019, has a very good reputation among students and it is not just about the design of the room and its surroundings, but above all about the hardware and software. Students in the SHL-12 interlocking system and ATP system classes have the opportunity to develop their IT competencies in line with market needs, combining university knowledge with the experience of a commercial company. This enables trainees and interns to gain valuable knowledge that will ensure the business thrives thanks to the most suitable staff.
