POB6. Update and new EU solar energy strategy. European Commission Communication.
A strategy has been approved in the form of a communication from the European Commission to help ensure that the full potential of solar energy is realised, which in turn will contribute to achieving the objectives of the European Green Deal on energy and climate.
The strategy will help citizens across the Union to benefit from an integrated energy system by:
- barriers to solar energy deployment will be identified
- measures will be proposed to accelerate the implementation of an integrated energy system
- the competitiveness and resilience of the Union's solar energy systems will increase.
