On 13 May 2022 (Friday), 12-4 p.m., in room 623a of our faculty will be a lecture, followed by a workshop, led by Piotr Bigaj, PhD, from the Warsaw branch of NVIDIA, under the title:

Deep Learning Recommender Systems

Piotr Bigaj is currently a manager of deep learning algorithms at NVIDIA Company, and his work focuses on deep learning algorithms for table data, including recommender systems. His colleagues say he is a bright inventor who creates unique solutions and has unusual altitude to grasp key aspects of technical issues and solve them quickly and effectively. His professionalism allows him to seamlessly combine practice with science, as evidenced by the title of doctor in automation and robotics, which he received at the Polish Academy of Sciences in 2013. Bigaj's knowledge was appreciated by experts in this field, which resulted in the Award of the Polish Society of Artificial Intelligence for the best doctoral dissertation in the field of artificial intelligence (2013) and receiving a diploma of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (2014).

People who do not want to install the environment are cordially welcome to the first part of the meeting - i.e. lecture, which will introduce the subject of recommender systems.
