Our student Rafał Czerwiński winner of the 2nd edition of the PADS Professional Student Design Challenge!
Congratulations to the winners of the 2nd annual PADS Professional Student Design Challenge!
The competition is the most prestigious PCB electronics design competition for individuals and student design teams. Participants used the PADS Professional Student Edition, a best-in-class tool for student innovators, to create an electronics design that they believe best emphasizes their PCB design knowledge and engineering skills. A panel of Siemens experts assessed the designs taking into account design complexity, manufacturability, PCB design best practices, and more. Top finisher Rafał Czerwiński created his PCB design in connection with his master's thesis. Rafał is a graduate of Electronics and Telecommunications at the Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronics and Computer Science of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice. His experience in PCB design is the result of two courses on the subject: PCB Design and Certification of Advanced Techniques for Multilayer PCB Design. After using documentation and free online training courses to familiarize himself with PADS Professional, Rafał was able to create an impressive 8-layer PCB design consisting of four DDR4 DRAMs with an extended topology of data and address range.
