PLGBC Green Building Awards 2021

The aim of the PLGBC Green Building Awards competition is to recognize the commitment of industry leaders to the development of sustainable construction in Poland. The organizer, the Polish Green Building Association PLGBC, thus raises awareness of the development of green construction. It is the only such initiative on a national scale. Applications are accepted until June 30 this year. The evaluation will be carried out by a jury composed of recognized experts in the world of architecture, design and sustainable construction. Participation is open and free.

The Polish Green Building Association PLGBC has prepared 10 categories in an open, one-stage competition. Participation in it is free.

This year's edition includes buildings designed and constructed in Poland in the period
06.2019 - 06.2021, as well as single- and multi-family housing, interiors and modernizations. Sustainable products or services as well as ecological initiatives can also be submitted to the competition. There is a category of the Best Ecological Project, for which both professionals and students can submit their projects.

This year's PLGBC Green Building Awards competition jury will be created by exceptional personalities from the construction and real estate industry - experts from various disciplines:

  • Tomasz Pągowski, IMATHOME, Honorary Member of the Jury,
  • Szymon Wojciechowski, APA Wojciechowski, Honorary Member of the Jury,
  • Maciej Jakub Zawadzki, MJZ, Honorary Member of the Jury,
  • Anna Baczkowska, Knauf Ceiling Solutions,
  • dr hab. Eng. arch. Anna Bać, Wrocław University of Technology,
  • Justyna Biernacka, Architekci Dla Klimatu / Materiality,
  • dr hab. Eng. Joanna Ferdyn-Grygierek, prof. PŚ, Silesian University of Technology,
  • Paweł Kobierzewski, TK Holding,
  • Alicja Leszczyńska, Assa Abloy,
  • Joanna Plaisant, Arcadis Poland,
  • Jerzy Wójcik, JW + A.


The works will be assessed by the Jury both in terms of values ​​related to sustainable construction and development, as well as architectural and aesthetic values. Any innovative aspects of a given building, product or initiative will also be taken into account.

Applications are made by completing the application form in the selected category on the competition website and sending attachments (visual materials, certificates, etc.) by e-mail. Importantly, you can submit several entries for one or more categories. The deadline for submitting applications has been extended to 07/31/2021!

The contest will be adjudicated and the results will be announced during the 11th edition of the PLGBC Green Building Symposium, which will take place on October 7, 2021 at the Sound Garden Hotel in the Business Garden complex in Warsaw.
