Prof. Aleksander Nawrat to be an authorized representative in the field of research and development, and science policy
The minister of Climate and Natural Environment, Michał Kurtyka, appointed his authorized representatives firstly for issues related to combating the consequences of droughts and the scarcity of water resources in a natural environment and secondly for issues in the field of research and development, and science policy. These duties were entrusted, respectively, to Łukasz Lange and Prof. Aleksander Nawrat.
The scope of competences attributable to the Authorized Representative in the field of research and development, and science policy includes implementation of measures intended to support the Minister in the development of policies related to research studies in fields covered by the competencies of the state administration. These include energy, climate, and the environment. Also, to advise the Minister how to optimize benefits from governmental investments into research studies and development in relevant fields, as well as the development of statements and reports dedicated to the role of science, research studies and innovations in the achievement of objectives set forth by the Minister. Prof. Nawrat was also entrusted to support the Minister to promote education in the fields of climate and energy and to set up proposals for measures to be taken to achieve the climatic neutrality.

I will implement and optimize measures and actions that have already been dispersed among various organizational units of the Ministry, it will definitely improve the overall effectiveness of all measures’ – said Prof. Aleksander Nawrat.
