Innovative technology for the production of e-caprolactone

e-CAPROLACTONE, is a monomer for the production of biodegradable polycaprolactone PCL. Due to biocompatibility PCL and its copolymers are widely used in medical applications, e.g. for controlled drug-release systems, resorbable surgical threads, implants, or tissue scaffolds. An innovative technology for the production of e-caprolactone, funded by NCBIR INNOCHEM POIR.01.02.00-00-0042/16, was implemented in Grupa Azoty SA, Puławy POLAND 2021.
