Classes of the Faculty of Civil Engineering employees with young geometry enthusiasts
Last Saturday, March 20, 2021, on the Zoom platform, as part of the Junior and Senior Silesian University of Technology classes, a team of geometers from the Faculty of Civil Engineering composed of: dr inż. Piotr Dudzik, dr inż. Anita Pawlak-Jakubowska, dr inż. arch. Ewa Terczyńska, dr inż. Krzysztof Tytkowski, conducted classes for young geometry enthusiasts. The classes entitled "4-6-8-12-20 - Platonic solids" consisted of a short introductory lecture and workshops during which participants constructed Platonic polyhedra. Young enthusiasts of science found out that even when working online, they can build beautiful tetrahedrons and cubes out of paper, glue and sticks.
