Meeting of the authorities of the Silesian University of Technology with retired employees of the University
On October 19th, 2024, at the Education and Congress Centre of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, a meeting of the University authorities with retired employees took place. More than 450 pensioners attended the ceremony – both people who have just retired and distinguished seniors.
On behalf of the University authorities, the participants were welcomed by the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology Prof. Marek Pawełczyk. The Vice-Rector for Infrastructure and Promotion, Prof. Zbigniew Paszenda and the Vice-Rector for Cooperation with Civic and Economic Environment, Prof. Marcin Staniek were also present.
The ceremony was an opportunity to meet former colleagues from work and remember the time spent at the Silesian University of Technology.
The meeting was graced by the performance of Grzegorz Markocki with the band, which in a very energetic way reminded the Polish hits of the 60s and 70s. The audience had the opportunity to listen and sing well-known hits of the popular rock music group “Czerwone Gitary,” Andrzej Zaucha or Krzysztof Krawczyk.
