On 26th September 2024, Dr Hab. Eng. Mirosław Bonek Prof. SUT and Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Education at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, in accordance with the resolution of the High Senate of the Khmelnytsky National University in Ukraine, for his contribution to the development of education and science and for many years of cooperation, encouraging friendly relations between the Khmelnytsky National University and the Silesian University of Technology, as well as between Ukraine and the Republic of Poland, was honoured with the title and dignity of Doctor Honoris Causa of Khmelnytsky National University.

The ceremony of handing over the diploma of Doctor Honoris Causa will take place on 28-31 October 2024 during a visit to the Silesian University of Technology of Professor Serhia Matiukh, Rector of the Khmelnitsky National University and Professor Oleh Polishchuk, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Transport and Architecture, together with a delegation.
