Young Science Beyond Borders Conference for young scientists

The Academy of Young Scientists of the Polish Academy of Sciences invites you to the Young Science Beyond Borders conference, which aims to involve foreign young scientists of the Silesian University of Technology to share their achievements and research.

On 24-25 October 2024, Young Science Beyond Borders Conference will take place. It is a unique conference that creates an interdisciplinary and international platform for the exchange of scientific thought, especially for young scientists. It is a unique event addressed to young scientists from Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia, from developing countries, as well as to foreign young scientists conducting their research in Polish universities and research centres. Its aim is to promote Polish science in many fields and to get to know the environment and scientific works of foreign partners by the scientific community in Poland more closely.

Continuing the idea initiated in the previous edition of the conference, the event will be addressed to the so-called scientists at risk group, that is, to scientists and students who work or leave their country due to armed conflicts or persecution (including Ukraine, but also from other regions).

Within the framework of five thematic sessions, representatives of young scientists from Poland and abroad will present in each session short lectures describing research directions and the most important interests and achievements of research groups. Conference participants will have the opportunity to talk to lecturers in dedicated chat spaces and during the so-called online networking sessions.

An important information for young scientists is the opportunity to publish an abstract in the book of abstracts of the presented papers. There will also be panels with grant agencies on how to search for sources of funding in Poland and the EU for Polish and foreign researchers.
