Air shows in Katowice and Gliwice

Air shows, glider stunts, parachute jumps and presentation of aircraft models - these are just some of the attractions that will take place this weekend, as part of the ongoing Aviation Week. The event is part of the celebration of the European City of Science Katowice 2024.

On Saturday, June 1, a modelling picnic was planned at the airport in Katowice Muchowiec, while on Sunday, June 2, at the Gliwice airport - air shows.

Modelling picnic - Saturday - Katowice Muchowiec, from 10.00 to 17.00.

As part of the event, there will be demonstrations of diesel and electric aircraft models, presentation of various models of unmanned aerial vehicles with equipment with the possibility of piloting a drone on simulators, an exhibition of sports models and air shows - drones and flying models.

Air shows - Sunday, Gliwice-Trynek airport, from 10.00 to 17.00.

The event will include demonstrations of glider acrobatics, demonstrations of aerobatic and parachute groups, flight of aircraft of universities training in aviation competitions, demonstration of work on a helicopter.
