Human being in the spotlight of cybercriminals – workshops as part of Science Week
The Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Silesian University of Technology invites you to a workshop on cybersecurity entitled “Human being in the spotlight of cybercriminals “.The event will take place as part of the Money Week in the European City of Science Katowice 2024.
We can no longer imagine life without the benefits of using the Internet and mobile applications. However, in order not to fall victim to scammers or hackers, the most important thing is to be aware of the dangers lurking while surfing the web. Would you like to know, among other things, what will happen when you open an infected attachment and how your mailbox could be taken over?
It is always worth relying on the knowledge and experience of cybersecurity specialists, so we invite you to the workshop on cybersecurity entitled “Human being in the spotlight of cybercriminals” We will discuss the topic of network security and discuss types of fraud that are the most popular at the moment. We will present many examples – you will see, among others, how a cybercriminal tracks everything that you type on the keyboard. We will show how easily scammers are able to impersonate someone and how a malicious application can take over our text messages. We will try to answer the following questions: How to identify one’s interlocutor on the network? Is artificial intelligence a friend or a new threat on the Internet? How to check if the payment reminder comes from a reliable source?
The workshop will be held at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Silesian University of Technology at 2, Krzywoustego Street, 44-100 Gliwice, room 615 in building A.
