The Silesian University of Technology project will receive a grant from the Horizon Europe program
An important distinction for the Silesian University of Technology. The project prepared by our scientists. “Towards an Understanding of Artificial Intelligence via a transparent, open and explainable perspective” was included in the list of recommended funding under the competition entitled: “The Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions Doctoral Networks (MSCA DN) 2023”.
The project will be funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe Framework Program. It is the largest program in the history of the EU to support research and innovation.
Dr Hab. Eng. Rafał Cupek, Prof. SUT from the Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronics and Computer Science is the coordinator of the Silesian University of Technology project, which will receive funding.
This is not the only distinction for scientists of the Silesian University of Technology in this competition. The project "Computational and Experimental Enzyme Engineering for New Polymers", in which our university will act as a partner was also appreciated.
Dr Hab. Artur Góra, Prof. SUT from the Biotechnology Centre at the Silesian University of Technology will be responsible for the implementation of the grant.
The award is all the more valuable as only 128 of the 1066 submitted applications in the competition received funding.
The Doctoral Networks competition allows for the implementation of doctoral programs within the framework of international cooperation of science institutions and companies in Europe and beyond, so as to enable doctoral students to participate in international ventures, improve their qualifications, stimulate creativity, expand personal innovation, this in turn will contribute in the long term to increasing their employability, also outside the academic sector.
