A Student of Silesian University of Technology wins Mining Knowledge Tournament
In February 2024, the XVIII Mining Knowledge Tournament took place in Krakow, as part of the School of Underground Mining Exploitation. Nine students from three Polish universities - Silesian University of Technology, Wroclaw University of Technology and AGH University of Science and Technology, studying in the fields of mining entered the competition.
Mateusz Pawlik, a student of the Faculty of Mining, Safety Engineering and Industrial Automation of the Silesian University of Technology turned out to be the best.
In the competition, the Silesian University of Technology was represented by three students from the Department of Geoengineering and Resource Exploitation, and at the same time members of the Student Scientific Club “SAFE WALL.” Our students have demonstrated their knowledge at the highest level. The first place was taken by Mateusz Pawlik. Scientific and didactic guardians of students participating in the tournament were: dr Eng. Aneta Grodzicka and dr hab. Eng. Jan Kania.
This is not the only success of students of the Faculty of Mining, Safety Engineering, and Industrial Automation in this competition. In the tournament, held every year as part of the School of Underground Mining Exploitation, over the past years our students have always been in the top three.
