Come to LabOpenDays 2024 – on April 11th and 12th laboratories at all faculties of the University will be open.
LabOpenDays 2024 is the second edition of the Open Days of Laboratories at the Silesian University of Technology. For two days, on April 11th and 12th, you will be able to visit the most interesting laboratories, where scientists conduct research and students take classes. This is a unique opportunity to really take a closer look at our University. Silesian University of Technology, one of ten research universities in Poland, has a modern laboratory base and world-class equipment.
Our lecturers have prepared a lot of attractive workshops and presentations. Participants of LabOpenDays 2024 will be able to try their hand at the train simulator, learn the secrets of 3D printing, learn what reverse engineering is used for, what characterizes Industry 4.0, how materials of the future are created and how their durability is tested. It is a unique opportunity to ask scientists any questions about their research work, innovative projects, the development of science and technology.
Those interested will also be able to visit the departments of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, Katowice and Rybnik and learn about their educational offer. The lecturers will talk about the courses of study, what are the possible paths of scientific and professional career after their completion. In turn, students will get closer to what studying at the Silesian University of Technology is about.
