Announcement by the Rector of The Silesian University of Technology
Agreement with trade union organizations operating at the University on the principles of increasing the remuneration of employees at the Silesian University of Technology.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
In connection with the allocation of funds to increase employee salaries under a subsidy from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the employer, i.e. the Silesian University of Technology represented by the Vice-Rector for General Affairs prof. dr hab. Eng. Bogusław Łazarz and trade union organizations operating at the University, i.e.:
a) Organization of the Independent Self-Governing Trade Union "Solidarity" Silesian University of Technology represented by the Chairperson - dr Eng. Joanna Lisok,
b) Polish Teachers' Union represented by the President - dr hab. engineer Wioletta Przystaś, prof. of Silesian University of Technology
c) Trade Union of Employees of the Silesian University of Technology represented by the Chairman - dr Krzysztof Czapla, prof. of Silesian University of Technology
d) Inter-Enterprise Trade Union Committee of the "Kontra" Trade Union at the Silesian University of Technology, represented by the Chairperson - Lidia Kołodziejczyk, MA
jointly agreed on the rules for the distribution of financial resources granted to the University, referred to in the Annex to the Announcement of the Minister of Science of February 23, 2024, on increases in the amount of subsidies from financial resources for the maintenance and development of teaching and research potential granted for 2024, to increase the basic salaries of employees University from January 1, 2024, as follows:
1. The rates of basic remuneration of University employees who are academic teachers, whose basic remuneration is financed from subsidies, are increased by 31%, calculated on a full-time basis, with the proviso that the given amount is calculated in proportion to the full-time equivalent.
2. The rates of basic remuneration of University employees who are not academic teachers, whose basic remuneration is financed from subsidies, are increased by 21%, and the rate of basic remuneration after the increase will not be lower than PLN 4,300 per full-time basis, provided that the given amount is calculated proportionally. to full-time employment.
3. Employee remuneration financed from external sources may be subject to individual regulation, depending on the funds available as part of its source of financing.
4. The basis for calculating the regulation is the amount of the employee's basic salary as of December 31, 2023.
5. The increase in the remuneration of employees employed at the University is determined starting from January 1, 2024, and applies to persons who have the status of an employee on the date of signing the other Agreements by the Parties.
6. In the event of a change in full-time employment from January 1, 2024, the basic salary will be adjusted in proportion to the full-time employment.
7. In the case of persons employed from January 1, 2024, the amount of the individual basic salary may not be lower than PLN 4,300, and in the case of academic teachers, not lower than that resulting from the regulation on the minimum basic salary of a professor.
