International Interdisciplinary Scientific and Social Conference
The Community of diversity, equity and inclusion conference will be held from March 21st to 22nd , 2024 in Katowice: Towards supporting well-being and sustainability. The University of Silesia in Katowice invites all interested to the event.
The conference is organized as part of the Katowice European City of Science 2024 celebrations. The meeting will be an opportunity for scientific and social reflection on the meaning and ways of implementing the principles of diversity, equivalence and inclusion in academic and non-academic environments.
The conference will be devoted to the problems of implementing equality and diversity policies and plans, but also to other aspects of the development of the well-being of various social groups, with particular emphasis on the gender context. The conference will be filled with discussions with representatives of various scientific disciplines as well as people responsible for implementing equality and diversity policies and developing well-being at universities and local communities. The aim is to develop conclusions and recommendations on the directions and methods of developing equality policies and activities supporting them, including research, promotion and education for equality and diversity, as well as interventions against violations of dignity and safety.
