Invitation of the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology to an open lecture
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I cordially invite you to the first open lecture in the series "Science for a better future". Lecture "Mathematics 5.0 - the fuel of the future" will be delivered by dr hab. Paweł Dłotko from the Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
In the era of the data revolution, exact mathematical methods are becoming a leading part of the modern economy. In his lecture, Dr Paweł Dłotko will also present the idea of the Centre for the Applications of Mathematics - a modern research institution on the border of science and industry, a proposal for its structure and issues of mathematics setting exemplary directions of its development. The potential role of such a Centre in supporting and shaping the digital transformation of the Silesian Metropolis will also be discussed during the meeting.
The meeting will take place on May 16th, 2023, at 15:00 in hall A of the Education and Congress Centre of the Silesian University of Technology (Gliwice, 18B, Konarskiego Street).
