IGRY 2023 is coming
The great celebration of students of the Silesian University of Technology, i.e., IGRY 2023, is coming. The event will take place on May 15-20, 2023.
In addition to traditional concert days, there will be many additional attractions waiting for participants. This year, the event has been extended by one day and lasts from Monday to Saturday.
The student celebrations will start on Monday with a day with culture at the Mrowisko Student Culture Centre. On that day, a blood donation campaign and the possibility of registering in the bone marrow donor database at the DKMS stand were also planned. The finale of the first day will be Jam Session.
On Tuesday you will be able to participate in the city game, which will take place not only on the campus of the Silesian University of Technology, but also in several other places in Gliwice. On that day, the AGAT Military Unit will be presenting itself at Krakowski Square. The day will end with an evening with board games at the Spirala Student Club, Hearts Pub and the "U Piotra" Student Canteen.
On Wednesday, symbolic handing over of the key to the city gates to students and a traditional game procession have been planned. A crowd of students in costumes will walk from the Market Square to the area of Łąka Igrowa, where the Great Barbecue will take place, which is always very popular among students. It is an opportunity to integrate and spend time together outdoors. On the occasion of the procession, there will also be a competition for the most interesting costume. At the end of the day, a Film Night was planned, i.e., an evening-night screening of films selected by students of the Silesian University of Technology.
Thursday, Sports Day, is also an important day in the sports calendar. Traditionally, the Sports and Recreation Centre of the Silesian University of Technology has prepared many sports attractions for this occasion. In addition, the Silesian Yacht Club invites those interested to Dzierżno Duze/Małe, where it plans to present how to catch the wind in the sails. On the other hand, for those who prefer water adrenaline, the "Watra" Academic Tourist Club organizes kayaking on Kłodnica.
Games concerts are always very popular. These are scheduled for Thursday and Friday in the afternoon at Arena Gliwice.
Saturday is the last day of the event, with concerts and a barbecue at Łąka Igrowa.
