A quality-oriented program for the best students starting their studies at the Silesian University of Technology

The Rector of the Silesian University of Technology announces a pro-quality program for the best students starting full-time first or second degree studies in the full cycle of education at the Silesian University of Technology.  

The program is aimed at people: 

1) representing Poland at international Olympiads,

2) who are winners or finalists of the central level olympiads in Poland, entitling to be admitted to the first year of first-cycle studies at the Silesian University of Technology without the qualification procedure,

3) winners of nationwide competitions organized by the Silesian University of Technology, in which representatives of at least 10 schools participated, entitling to obtain at least 30% of points in the recruitment process,

4) who obtained 100% of points in the recruitment process for first-degree studies,

5) who obtained 100% of points in the recruitment process for second-degree studies and graduated from first-degree studies with distinction or a corresponding certificate and with an average grade placing the candidate among the top 1% of graduates in the field of study.

These persons are entitled to the following forms of support:

1) to receive a scholarship for a period of 12 months in the first year of study in the amount of:

a) PLN 1,500 per month - in the case of a Polish representative at the international Olympiad,

b) PLN 1,100 per month - in the case of a winner of the central level olympiad in Poland,

c) PLN 700 per month - in the case of a finalist of the central level Olympiad in Poland,

d) PLN 500 per month - in the case of a winner of a nationwide competition organized by the Silesian University of Technology, who was ranked 1-3,

2) financing of accommodation in a student dormitory of the Silesian University of Technology in the full amount for a period of 10 months,

3) participate in the Mentoring Program of the Silesian University of Technology on the terms set out in its regulations.
