The Silesian University of Technology is the most pro-doctoral university in Poland
The Silesian University of Technology received the 1st place in the ProDok competition, becoming the most post-doctoral university in Poland. The title is awarded by the National Representation of PhD Students.
Chairwoman of the University Council of the Doctoral Student Self-Government - Barbara Balon MSc. Eng. - reminded that this is another award for the Silesian University of Technology in the ProDok competition.
- „In the last edition of the competition we took second place, and two editions earlier - first place” - she said.
The distinction won by the Silesian University of Technology is the result of the work and huge commitment of the University Council of the Doctoral Students' Self-Government, the team of the Study Service Centre and the School of Doctors.
- “As a university, we are proud of the activity and involvement of doctoral students in the scientific development of the university. The first place in Poland among all universities educating future doctors is a great honour, but also a challenge that motivates us to maintain a high and strive for an even higher scientific level” - emphasized Barbara Balon.
The jury of the competition assessed the possibility of education and development of young scientists. – “The subject of the assessment were issues related to, among others, grants awarded for scientific research, financial support for participation in national and international conferences, involvement in high-scoring publications as well as internships and trips abroad. The competition questions also concerned the degree of internationalization of doctoral students and the possibility of participating in the ERASMUS + program, psychological assistance, adaptation of the university for people with disabilities, as well as activities and projects implemented by the doctoral students' self-government” - indicated Barbara Balon.
