Rector of the Silesian University of Technology at the 14th European Economic Forum in Łódź
The European Economic Forum is taking place in Łódź. The Forum has already become a permanent event in the calendar of the most important economic events in the country. The opening session was attended by the President of CRASP, Rector of the Silesian University of Technology, Professor Arkadiusz Mężyk.
The European Economic Forum is a cyclical event which has been organised for several years by the Marshal's Office of the Łódź Voivodeship. This year, the organisers have proposed a number of topics devoted to innovations in the economy and social policy. Participants discuss human resources training, new technologies, digitisation or expansion of companies into foreign markets.
During the opening session, Prof. Arkadiusz Mężyk, President of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland, Rector of the Silesian University of Technology, also took part in the discussion. The debate concerned educating staff for modern economy during the pandemic.
The invited guests discussed, among other things, what our society and economy have been facing for over a year and a half: the pandemic, remote education, economic development, modern technologies, cooperation between science and business, education in line with the needs of the economy and the development of a long-term educational strategy in an epidemic situation.
